Hi! My name is John Liebner and I began my role as the director of the CARE Ministry on January 15, 2007. I also operate a private practice called, The Next Step. I am a LPC in North Carolina since June of 1998. I have been actively involved in Christian counseling since completing my Doctor of Ministry coursework in 1991.

My family joined StoneBridge in March of 2007. Three qualities of this community appealed to me and as it turns out my family noticed them as well. It is an authentic church. You are free to be as you are. However, this is not to say grace is taken for granted here. This community is also biblically centered. The truth is preached and taught authoritatively. So, you are also free to be responsible. This means that everyone is accountable to Christ via the scriptures. Such a high view of scripture results in a principle-centered church, not a pastor or elder-centered church.
The C.A.R.E. Ministry envisions the StoneBridge Church Community as a whole developing the life and relational skills that brings the benefit and fruit of counseling into the mainstream fostering personal and relational growth. In addition, skilled lay counselors provide support and guidance for those situations that need a more focused, enduring attention. Having this focus in the community may lessen the stigma so often attached to asking for help. When professional help is needed, those seeking it can do so with a sense of dignity, privacy, safety and support.
